Elizabeth Green Lindsey and Kim Martin to Present Key Expertise at Family Law Institute

Partners Elizabeth Green Lindsey and Kim Martin will host a session on the opening day of the 2025 Family Law Institute on May 30, leading a session titled, “Expedition Everest, Post Majority Support for Disabled Children.” The annual institute brings together top professionals in the family law sector and covers significant developments in the field. 

Elizabeth Green Lindsey is a partner specializing in family law, divorce, prenuptial & postnuptial agreements. She is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an honor extended to no more than one percent of the lawyers in any state; a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers; a Diplomate in The American College of Family Trial Lawyers of which there are only 100 attorneys in the country; and is Board Certified in Family  Law Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. 

Kim Martin is a trusts and estates attorney whose practice focuses on estate planning for families with a special needs family member. Her areas of expertise also include guardianship (including guardianship transfers), divorce settlement agreements in cases involving a special needs child, and tax planning.

About the State Bar of Georgia Family Law Section 

The Family Law Section, which counts nearly 2,000 active members in its ranks, is extremely active in the Bar and strives to keep its members on the cutting edge of the ever-changing dynamics in this area of practice.  The Section promotes continuing legal education by sponsoring with ICLE each year the Family Law Institute in May and two Nuts and Bolts of Family Law seminars, traditionally held in Savannah at the end of summer and in Atlanta in the beginning of fall.  The Section also monitors legislation and assists in drafting legislation in the area of family law.  The Section publishes a quarterly newsletter which includes articles on emerging areas of the practice, interviews with members of the judiciary, summaries of new appellate cases, and updates on the latest legislation and changes to the Superior Court Rules.
