Harrison LLP Welcomes New Leadership Team: Managing Partner and Board of Executives

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of a new firmwide Managing Partner and the creation of a new Board of Executives effective September 12, 2023. Matthew Madsen will serve as the firm’s Managing Partner and a member of the firm’s newly created Board of Executives. Tiffany McKenzie and Jason Ornduff will join Matt on the Board of Executives.

The appointment of new firm leadership marks an exciting new chapter of growth and continued excellence for Harrison LLP. We are profoundly grateful for the innovative vision and strong leadership of Chair Emeritus and founding partner Louis Harrison. We also value the guidance of the outgoing members of the Executive Committee – Stephen Daiker, Brad Gerber, Stephanie Moll Kriegel, Thomas B. Shapira and Marc Schwartz – and recognize that our clients trust us with the legal issues that matter most to them.

Matthew J. Madsen

Matt is a widely respected attorney who previously served on Harrison’s Executive Committee and as the Office Managing Partner in St. Louis. He has more than 25 years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families on a wide range of matters, including complex estate and wealth transfer planning strategies, as well as the structuring of charitable organizations and sophisticated charitable gifts.

Matt is a Fellow with the esteemed American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He is also a frequent speaker and prolific author, publishing several articles on estate planning and charitable giving

Given Matt’s knowledge and experience, it’s no surprise that he’s been named among The Best Lawyers in America® since 2008 and has been ranked in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide from 2020-2023. Matt has served in many volunteer positions at several charitable organizations in St. Louis.

Tiffany McKenzie

A prominent and highly regarded estate planning attorney, Tiffany is a partner in the firm’s Atlanta office. Her practice focuses on estate planning and administration, family wealth transfer tax planning, succession planning, and fiduciary litigation. She has handled several high-profile matters. She also helps clients advance their charitable intentions by creating charitable trusts and foundations.

Tiffany is a Fellow with the esteemed American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). As a true leader, Tiffany is the incoming president of the Alumnae Board of Agnes Scott College and outgoing president of the Out of State Division of the Florida Bar. In 2016, she was selected to be part of the exclusive LEAD Atlanta Class by Leadership Atlanta. Tiffany was ranked in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide from 2020-2022, named a Georgia Rising Star from 2017-2020, and recognized by Georgia Trend Legal Elite in 2019.

Jason S. Ornduff

A well-respected attorney with more than 25 years of experience, Jason is a partner in the Chicago office. He advises high-net-worth families, business owners, executives, professionals, and celebrities on state and federal laws regarding wealth transfer to the next generation, including estate planning, estate and trust administration, and estate and gift tax issues. He previously served on the firm’s Executive Committee for many years.

Jason brings significant experience with community leadership to his role on the Board of Executives. He is a past president of the Greater North Shore Estate and Financial Planning Council, serves on the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s Estate Planning Short Course planning board, and is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council.
