Marcie Charles Headshot

Marcie Charles advises clients on sophisticated estate planning, estate and trust administration, tax, and business succession matters. She frequently creates revocable and irrevocable trusts, drafts marital agreements, and develops gifting and charitable planning strategies. Marcie also prepares federal gift, generation-skipping transfer, and estate tax returns and represents clients before the IRS in tax controversies and private letter ruling requests.

When advising clients, Marcie often draws on her previous experience as an attorney-advisor to the IRS Associate Chief Counsel for Corporate Taxation and as a consultant to Fortune 500 companies via her positions at the national offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young. She combines technical knowledge and a dedication to client service to develop deep and lasting client relationships, create customized estate plans that meet each client’s unique goals and needs, and ensure that clients understand the impact of those plans. She takes a practical approach to creating efficient and functional estate plans.

In addition to her legal practice, Marcie is active in the community. She serves on several nonprofit boards, including as  a member of the Collier Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees and as the Chair of the Foundation’s Professional Advisor Council. She is the immediate past president of the Estate Planning Council of Naples. Marcie was listed among The Best Lawyers in America® “Ones to Watch” in Trusts & Estates in the Fort Myers metro area from 2021-2024 and Naples Illustrated named her among the area’s top trusts and estates attorneys in 2023.

When not in the office, Marcie enjoys golfing, reading, spending time with her husband Joe, and entertaining friends and family.
