Harrison LLP Promotes Four Attorneys to Partner

Harrison LLP has promoted Matthew J. Johnson, Emma H. Barry, Lara J. Bailey, and Melissa G. Sprinkle to partner. All four attorneys have demonstrated a strong commitment to the firm's values, culture, and success. 

Matthew Johnson advises clients in all aspects of family law matter, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, modification actions, enforcement actions, equitable division of property, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. At one of the most stressful times in clients’ lives, Matthew strives to serve his clients with exceptional legal representation while empathizing with them so they are well cared for. 

Emma Barry focuses her practice on Special Needs Trust matters and other aspects of comprehensive Special Needs Estate Planning. Emma has worked with Kristen M. Lewis, Esq. in her Special Needs Estate Planning practice since graduating from Georgia State University College of Law in 2016. She has extensive experience representing clients in guardianship and conservatorship proceedings in Probate Courts throughout Georgia, including inter and intra-state transfers of guardianships and conservatorships, as well as conservatorship planning in the context of a settlement. 

Lara Bailey represents clients in the purchase, sale, development, and leasing of residential, commercial, and industrial real estate. On the lending side, she represents lending institutions in acquisition, construction, and development loans and asset-secured financing. She also has extensive litigation experience, including pretrial motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trials before juries and judges. Lara is known for her meticulous attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to her clients. 

Melissa Sprinkle assists clients with their estate planning and wealth preservation through the creation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, the use of lifetime gifting, and business succession planning. She also assists clients with trust and estate administration, including the probate of the will and other probate court actions. Melissa helps clients further their charitable inclinations by creating charitable trusts and charitable foundations. She advises clients on the tax implications of all such estate, trust, and business succession planning.
