Gerald Jambrosek advises high-net-worth individuals and families on taxation, estate and trust administration, probate, and business law matters. Jerry has extensive experience in both taxation and closely-held business valuation. He is uniquely qualified to advise owners of interests in closely held entities of strategies to pass those ownership interests to subsequent generations in the most effective and least costly manner.
Jerry has been a NACVA Certified Valuation Analyst since 2000 and has prepared numerous business valuation reports for taxpayers involved in state and federal tax audits, acquisitions, and civil litigation.
Jerry began his career with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as an IRS Estate Tax Attorney, retiring in 1970 as the Supervisory Attorney responsible for all IRS estate and gift tax audits conducted in the Northern District of Illinois. From 1976 to 1985 Jerry served as counsel to Chapter 10 of the National Treasury Employees Union, representing approximately 2,000 IRS employees in the Chicago District in contract negotiations, adverse action hearings, FOIA, and EEO complaints.
