Hayley focuses her practice on wealth transfer planning, including estate and disability planning, federal and state wealth transfer taxation, business succession planning and charitable planning. Hayley advises individuals and families on creating personalized and comprehensive estate plans that accomplish their goals and ensure a smooth transition of assets, while also minimizing income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
Hayley also guides individuals and corporate executors and trustees through the probate and trust administration processes, often working alongside her fiduciary litigation colleagues when disputes arise. She coordinates probate court filings, advises clients on the proper procedures for transferring various assets and has experience preparing and reviewing federal estate tax returns.
Before joining Harrison LLP, Hayley was an attorney with Davis Matthews & Quigley. She enjoys staying active in the community and serves on the boards of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council and the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Legacy Advisor Leadership Council. She has also served as a mentor for the State Bar of Georgia’s Transition Into Law Practice Program.
Outside of the office, Hayley enjoys hiking, live music, running, drawing pet portraits and any activity that involves spending time with her husband and their two daughters.
